Tanya Burr Lipgloss Review

So,yet again I'm late to the bandwagon with everything. So late that she's now bought out a ton of new lipgloss's and repackaged the old ones.
I've had these for around 6 months but I completely forgot I owned them until a few weeks ago. Now if you're like me and you're not a big fan of lipgloss's you're very picky about what you wear if you do wear a lipgloss. I'm all about finding cheaper alternatives to high end brand. Being a student I do not have enough to splash out on things such as Mac and benefit, as much as I'd love to be able to.
I have the lipgloss's in 7 different shades. When I bought them I accidentally duplicated one of the shades. I've also managed to lose one of the glosses somewhere. Oops. The shades I have are:
.I Found Nemo
.Heart Skipped A Beat
.Wxotic Island
.Picnic In The Park
.Afternoon Tea
.Chic
.Just Peachy
The great thing about these glosses are the colour range available and the pigmentation of the glosses themselves.
They all have a very faint light sweet/fruity scent. I think it smells amazing. If you're not into scented products don't worry. They're not super potent. The glosses themselves are very high in gloss and they're easily applicable. They're slightly sticky so not the best for the wind but they do look gorgeous, on their own and paired with other products. They retail in Superdrug for £5.99 but I got mine off of Frangrence Direct for £1.99 each.

1.I Found Nemo
Firstly can we just talk about how cute the name of this is! I love it. This is by far my favourite lipgloss of the collection that I own. It's a very gorgeous pinky coral colour. It has a very orange undertone to it. I think this colour is absolutely amazing for the summer or if you're on holiday. It last a very long time and the colour payoff is insane!

The gloss it's self does have some very fine chunks of gold glitter in it but it's not noticeable when on the lips.

5/5

2. Heart Skipped A Beat
When I purchased this I accidentally bought this red instead of another one that I was planning on getting (let's travel the world) which kind of sucked. This gloss is super glittery in the tube but again it doesn't have muchas  effect when on the lips. The colour looks very red in the tube but when on the lips it gives off more of a coral red colour which is disappointing.

I don't like wearing this colour by its self but I do love to pair it up with lipstick (see last blogpost.) Its not a bad lipgloss, it's just not my favourite.

3/5

3.Exotic Island
Again...how cute is this name?!? This is a very true to colour gloss. It's not as pigmented as it is in the tube but it still gives off an amazing vibrant purple colour. I chose this colour because I was hoping it would be true to colour and I was not left disappointed. It's unlike anything I have in my collection. It looks gorgeous on its own or paired up with other lipsticks.
If you're brave enough then I'd definitely recommend trying it out!

4.5/5

4.Picnic in the park
I bought this shade because I had heard so many great things about it. It is truley the most perfect everyday wearable colour. It's a pink with a slightly coral/light pink undertone. This is such a perfect colour if you're wanting a little bit of colour but you're not wanting anything too much. It's super glossy and it lasts a long time.
If you're wanting to try somthing from the range but titre not sure on what, I'd defiantly recommend picking this up. Also this is perfect if you're just starting out in makeup or if you're still at school and you just need that somthing. Lush!

5/5

5.Afternoon Tea
This is the first of the three nude shades that I have. It's definitely the best of the three that I own. This is the most pink undertones nude of my collection. It looks amazing by its self or paired with a nude/pink lipstick. It's a very pretty and sophisticated shade.

Again, I think this is a perfect shade for beginners or people at school and I love it a lot!

4.5/5

6.Chic
This is the second of the nudes from my collection. It's a very unusual times nude. It has a very warm orange undertone mixed with a hint of brown. I think this colour would look gorgeous on people with more olive or tanned skin. I find this a little hard to wear sometimes because I am so pale. If you're super pale like me I'd stay away from this shade.

It's definitely the glossiest of the nudes so if you love glossy nude lips, then you'll love this shade!!

2.5/5

6.Just Peachy
This shade is the third and final nude shade. It's the one I regret most out of all the glosses. When applied it will apply as one layer and then it will start to move on my lips and budge into one area. It also sinks into any lines you have in your lips. It's a very thick and gloopy formula (since day 1.) It's not very glossy and it's very clumpy.

0.5/5

Overall, these glosses aren't bad for the price. I do think you can get some similar and better products from the drugstore for the same price or even cheaper. I do like the pigmentation and the lasting power of these glosses. They're super shiny. The packaging and names are also super cute which is a bonus.

Have you tried anything from Tanya's cosmetics range? Let me know in the comments down below or tweet me @AlbonsChum. Thanks for reading guys and I'll see you in my next post!
Loads of love

Revlon Colour Bust LipButter

        Revlon Colour Burst Lipsticks

Hey everyone!Today i am going to be reviewing the Revlon Colourbust Lip Butters.Firstly i have them in 4 colours:

  • Raspberry Pie- A dark pink berry shade (slightly lighter than Lollipop)
  • Cupcake- A super pale baby pink
  • Sweet Tart- A very bright, out there pink.A toned down Barbie shade.
  • Lollipop- A deep berry pink. Slightly deeper than Raspberry pie. These lipsticks are 4 of my favorites lipsticks of all time. They are so soft and creamy on the lips with AMAZING Pigmentation and they last all day. The only down side i have with these is they do tend to get very soft and melt slightly causing them to dis shape. This also means that the packaging can get very messy.LolliPop: Lollipop is the darkest colour of my collection, being only slightly darker than Raspberry Pie. It is a great winter narrative if you don't want to go for the red lip. It's a really warming berry colour and is great for Medium skin toned people.Sweet Tart:If you love a bright lip but you're not too outgoing then this is your colour. It's a Barbie shade for someone who's not looking to be too Barbie. It's a really lovely bright pink colour that when on the lips still gives you the elegant makeup look you've always wanted.Cupcake:Cupcake, being my personal favorite, is the lighest shade of them all. It is a really nice baby pink colour that's suitable for all year around. you can apply a little bit to the lips for a shear tint of more for a brighter bolder look.Raspberry pie:This is the perfect colour for winter time, It's not to light and no to dark. It's a beautiful darker shaded pink tone that is gorgeous for the winter snow. It will also make your teeth look pearly and white!Overall, all of these colour's are lovely, glossy and last for a long time and i highly recommend them. RRP: £7.99

£1 Miracle - MUA Single Shadow's

The £1 Miracle- MUA Single Eyeshadows

Hey guy's!
Today i am here to review the MUA (Makeup academy) £1 shadow's. These are available in Superdrug or online at http://www.muastore.co.uk/ (worldwide). They do these eye shadows in lots of different shades, which i intend to buy due to their amazing shade range and the quality of the shadows. Today i have 6 eye shadows, 4 pearl and 2 matte. ( i do own more but these are some of my favs)

This is a gorgeous bronze glitter shade. This is beautiful for the outer corner of the eye. I tend to blend this into a matte brown shadow that i place all over the lid. it's amazing at giving a little bit of shimmer.- Shade 30 Pearl
This shade is a nice nude colour. This is a great base for under a coloured shadow to really make the colour pop! it works wonders as a brow bone highlight. It's also amazing for a no makeup look, if you want to make your eyelids look smooth and perfect! Shade 17 Matte

This shade is great just like the bronze shade, Its great to layer up with a grey shadow for that little bit of glittery shimmer. Shade 3 Pearl
This is a beautiful rose gold colour. I LOVE ROSE GOLD SO THIS IS PERFECT! Again it gives a lovely bit of shimmer and is great for the outer corner. It also goes beautifully with the Maybeline 24 hr colour tattoo in metallic pomegranate. Shade 20 Matte

This colour is a matte black and is perfect for a smoky eye as it's pigmented and bendable. You don't need to apply too much. Its great in pigmentation and i love it.

This colour is just a plain light pink colour. It's great for a base under a heavier eye look or it looks beautiful just swept over the lip by it's self.- Shade 22 Pearl

These are the swatches of the 3 shimmer colours. I LOVE these colours as they're so high in pigmentation and they're the most beautiful colours that last forever! The black colour is a straight up Matte so this is the perfect colour for a smokey eye. i would defiantly recommend these shadows and for £1, what a steal!

RRP: £1!

Simple Skin Care!

Hey everyone
So today i wanted to talk to you all about my skincare regime and what i use. All of my skincare is by by the brand Simple. I do just want to say i am in no way sponsored by them, they're just my favorite skincare brand. Simple is around £3 per product but there is always a deal on the brand which normally brings it down to half price which is a bargain! So in my skincare i use their:
  • Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Moisturizer
  • Simple Kind To Skin Facial Wash
  • Simple Kind To Skin Face Wipes
  • Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Eye Balm.
  • Simple Kind To Skin Sun Kissed Moisturizer for a slight tan in the summer.

I love the Kind To Skin range because it is:
  • So soft on the skin
  • It really is kind to your skin.
  • It doesn't pull on your skin, Break you skin or damage your skin
  • Doesn't irritate your skin.

I don't get many spots and i feel like it is because i use these products on a daily basis. I also drink lots of water as it can really Really help to make a difference to your skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Facial Wash

The Simple Kind To Skin Facial Wash is the first thing i use (after taking any makeup off if i'm wearing. For that i would use the Simple KTS Facial Wipes) With the facial wash i put the tinyist bit on my fingertips and rub them together. I then apply this using small circular motions on my face. I love this as a little bit goes a really long way. The wash it's self is a thick gel consistency but lathers on the face nicely. It's really nice and smooth on the skin which makes it nice and easy to apply. To wash this off i just take warm water with a flannel and wipe and rinse a couple of times. I then just pat my face dry ready for the next step

Simple Kind To Skin Moisturizer:

After washing my face, i then take this, The Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Facial Moisturizer. I will apply when my skin has completely dried. I make sure it's dry so that the moisturizer can really soak into my skin. I place a tiny bit of this onto the tips of my fingers, and again, like when i wash my face, i apply it using small circular motions. I then leave it to soak into my skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Eye Balm:

This is the Simple Kind To Skin Eyebalm. I use this after my moisturizer has completely soaked in. I place a small bit of this on the back of my hand. I then place a bit on my ring finger and dab it on very lightly under the eye. I use my ring finger as it's the most delicate under the eye meaning it has the lightest application and it's not damming. I use this under the eyes to make sure that my skin stays nice and soft to ensure that over time it my skin doesn't break as i do use concealer and foundation under my eyes everyday. A little of this product goes a very long way. it's also in a small tube making it perfect for traveling.

Simple Kind To Skin Sun Kissed Mostuirizer:

This is the Simple Kind To Skin Sun Kissed Moisturizer. I use this in the morning's instead the normal Moisturizer is i want to build up a slight tanned look. This product has to be built up over a few days to see any colour change meaning you don't get a drastic colour change. This is good because it helps my face look slight tanned without it looking fake. I don't use this very often but it's nice when i do want a slight tan or a healthy glow.

Simple Kind To Skin Facial wipes:
So i have currently run out of my facial wipes and have not had a chance to re purchase them meaning i do not have a picture for you all. I love the facial wipes. They're really nice to take makeup with and they can get of waterproof mascara off.I know people say to use a cleansing water to take of makeup (i'd recommend the Garnier miceller cleansing water) but these wipes truly work wonders. with some facial wipes you would need lots of them to take of your makeup whereas with these ones you need one and you're good to go. They come with 25 wipes in a pack for £3. They're really nice at getting any dirt of your face and clearing it ready for your skincare regime. I love them!!

If you do want to purchase these products then you can visit your local supermarket (Tesco, Asda etc).  If you're outside of the UK then i'm pretty sure you can pick them up in any local store. For example Target or wallmart.
If you want to check out Simple Skincare then you can check out their website of follow them on Tumblr for all their latest skin tips on Skin social.
