CyberBulling- Beat That Bully

Cyber Bulling-Beat That Bully

Recently i have seen lots of people on all over the internet share their story's about bullying. The most common type of bulling today is Cyber Bulling. Cyber bulling is bulling that is done on the internet. Bully's feel most secure with this type of bulling as they can hide their identify and they don't think they will get caught. Well they're all WRONG. Lot's of things can be done to prevent cyber bulling. Here are a few way's that you can prevent cyber bulling from happening (or at least going to far.) This doesn't just have to be for you. If you know someone else going through this, then it could help them too.

1. Nasty Messages
If someone send's you a nasty message then just ignore it. Don't retaliate because this is exactly what the bully wants! Just leave the message and say nothing back. I know it can be difficult not to reply to someone but in the long run it makes thing's a lot better. No matter how much pressure there is to reply, DON'T!

2. Continuity
If you continue to receive nasty messages from the person then Save,Block & Tell. Save the message's. You need to save the messages as it can be used as evidence if you should ever need it in the future. Always take a screen shot or print it off because the person could delete their account meaning you can't tell it's them. Block the person on the site you are using. This means they will no longer be able to access your profile or message you. TELL someone. This could be a teacher, parent, guardian, friend, sibling or anyone else. It's vital you tell someone so they know what is going on.

3.Going out of the way
Sometimes bully's will go out of their way to try to upset you. This may mean making another account if you've blocked other accounts. If this happened's you need SAVE BLOCK & TELL. This is classed as harassment and is taken very seriously. Whether you know who the person is or not. If you don't know the person the police can usually track their accounts and where the address is.

4. You're not alone
I know when you are bullied you feel all alone and down and you feel like there is no one there that can help you. There is ALWAYS someone there that can help you. TALK to others. It will make you feel so much better. You don't have to speak to people you know if you don't want to. When i used to feel down (about anything) i used to use ChildLine's online chat to talk to someone. They have helped me out so much and they've helped me make some life changing decisions. Everything is confidential and you don't have to state your name if you don't want too. They're great if you just want a friendly chat or if you need advice or help. If you ever feel down about anything then they're a really good place to go to for help. You can always contact me if you ever feel down and you don't want to talk to ChildLine. I've left the link below for Childline should you ever need them!

5. Get Out
Bulling can lead to depression and not wanting to go out. Get out as much as possible as it will really help to clear your mind and it can also help a lot with your brain. You don't want to be stuck in front of a computer screen for hour's on end. I used to sit on the internet all the time until one day i joined a club. Now i go out a lot more and do lot's of different things and it's made me such a happier person now for it. Even if you don't want to join a club you could go for a walk with a pet or meet up with a friend, there is always something for you to do. The world is your oyster!
